The new Miss Zimbabwe is Caucasian and the Black Community is not happy

So that's why I didn't really understand why people were getting upset about Miss Zimbabwe being caucasian, because I think that sometimes as black people, we just assume that everything that represents Africa is represented by black people. But Africa has a mixture of races, just like America does. They have Indians that live and that are born and raised and live in Africa. They have white people that are born and raised and live in Africa. They have black people that are born and raised and live in Africa

Race Sells. Pendulum shifts.

This is a really fun one. Hi, Tanya. I think this is very fun. She is white, from Zimbabwe. And what's wrong with that? Right? I can see the. It's interesting that she's been the first white person, though. I'm surprised at that, actually. I didn't think it was an all black event. I thought there would have been other white in the past. So there I go about it. You touched on one thing

Hey, Tonya. Yeah. This is kind of interesting. I mean, she's white and she's Miss Zimbabwe. I don't. I think that you can be anywhere in the world and be any race, but my problem is it's Miss Zimbabwe. Really? I mean, yeah, she can be white, but what if it was a black girl? Was Miss Yugoslavia, Miss Croatia, you know, Miss Norway? You see what I'm saying? It would sound different

Hey, Tanya, this is why I say that there's a difference between race, ethnicity, culture, language. And I've spoken about that here on swell, because you could have a white person born in Africa or a certain part of Africa, and they will be considered african when they get naturalized here in America, they will be considered african American because that's how it works here
