Lesson 1 Practice | My name is...

article image placeholderLesson 1 | Acknowledge Your Courage
I recall a time that I took a Dale Carnegie class, and we were talking about the importance of remembering people's names. And one of the techniques they gave us was to. To provide some image or a picture regarding a person's name to help you remember. And I used a picture of Kim Novak driving a Volkswagen beetle because my last name was Oglesby and with a bee flying around

Hey, Kimberly. What a great way to remember someone's name. I think that's great. I'm very visual as well, so it helps me a lot. And I know that actress, so it's very cool that your parents connected you to that. It's really great to hear your voice here. I'm really glad you're doing this with us. So welcome to swelling

Hi, there. My name is Ruth, and I've never really related to that name. Even when I said it right now, it's so bizarre. It doesn't sound like me saying it sounds like a sound to me. And in fact, whenever, throughout my life, when I've been in, say, school and there's been a boy called Bruce, I've always. We've always had it mixed up because when you hear that from far, you hear ooh, ooh
