I was just speaking to someone here on Swell about the experience of being on the porch and eating a beautiful meal and having a great day and then picking up your phone and seeing devastation around the world and being a member of the human condition and not knowing how to process that cognitive dissonance. Oh, my God, how can I have empathy? And I think that it's the same thing for experiencing the fullness of grief is allowing it to be the fullness of grief
