KK you carry a piece of our hearts with you. Rest in peace.

Hello swell. I woke up to this disheartening news that KK, the singer whose music I would listen to during my College going years is no or more. He died last night in Kolkata after giving an on stage performance at a College there probably lived his passion to the last 12th minute of his life. Rest in peace

I mean, yes, I know everyone dies at some point or another, but we just take it for granted that, oh, yeah, KK songs will keep coming, or any singer that we love, we don't look at them as human beings with human experiences. And when things like this happen, that's when I did not see this coming at all. Like, I think everyone else, because he was in his early 50s, seemed relatively healthy, was as uncontroversial as they come

And that probably is what resonated with so many of us. I think it's fair to say an entire generation collective memories are triggered when you listen to his voice and those great, amazing songs of his. I think those are probably the days when I was more focused on listening to songs with an intent to delve into the words of it. The profundity of the words and the voice a lot more than the background score or the whatever you call it, the other musical jargon

I want to thank you all, Binati Omimaji and Ramya for sharing your grief here with me on Swell. I think as Ramya rightly said, there is a whole generation right that is moved by KK's music. And for us, it's definitely a great loss. And every time I listen to him, to his voice, I'm going to fill that void. And I'll be also happens to be one of my favorite numbers from KK Stripper. Well, rest in peace, KKK
