Early challenges in the Corp Comm world

When you look back, what have been some of the challenges that you had to deal with in the corporate communications space, especially in the initial years of your career?

@Wordsmith

So any corporate communication professional they need to think of different ways how they can make the department as revenue generator and a more tangible entity in terms of numbers to the organization or for the organization. Also as a lady, some challenges I felt at times my seniors felt that since I'm a lady, I may not be able to handle any crisis if it is night. Because mostly my career I have spent in the field of aviation at airports, major airports like Calcutta, Mumbai, Hyderabad

Corporate communication is a fantastic choice in life, but you have to be well aware of the demands, the requirement, what a corporate communication professional has to deliver. So as a woman again, I'm saying you don't restrict yourself to the gender, but you think yourself as a professional and not that you are a woman. So there are some restrictions which is stopping you from delivering a particular aspect or work. What you need to do again, you have to be a leader
