As many as one in four adults have high blood pressure in India and more than 60% of all deaths in India that are due to noncommunicable diseases are largely number of these deaths are linked to underlying condition of hypertension. Dr. Suzashan Mundell talks about this in his article in the Week that was published on 15 June and he mentions that among people with high blood pressure only half have been diagnosed and of those, only one in ten have blood pressure under control

I read the article and I agree. I think it is a silent killer. And I am in favor of governments highlighting public health crises and providing affordable health care for for something which really disrupts your life if you have it. And the thing about diseases like hypertension or vertigo or migraines, and we've heard so many people have these things, it's been ridiculously normalized. Even diabetes, for that exam, for that matter. Diabetes is like, yeah, diabetes, Bpoth
