Martha Bevins Had Close Encounters With Aviation History

article image placeholderUploaded by @WilderBlue
I don't know if a serious attempt was made in the 1930s, Martha was flying over Manhattan. She had another close encounter with aviation history. She told a reporter that she was approaching a big cloud bank and heading straight for it, only to realize that this huge gray thing in her path was the Hindenburg. Obviously she rerouted a little bit and the Hindenburg was destroyed in an explosion in 1937. Martha's great tragedy also came out of aviation in 1935. She was widowed at a young age
