The Divine Dance

article image placeholderUploaded by @WeddedPath
I'm sure they know about the dance, but maybe they need to be reminded about how lovely the divine dance, the ebb and flow of life and the camaraderie can be. The intent shouldn't be to dance harder, but taking the time to listen to the music more carefully, holding your partner more gently, not just dancing with your feet, but dancing with your heart and your soul, yielding yourself voluntarily to step into competition. Passion

All creation is part of a divine choreography.

Jerry, thank you for sharing this. My experience of the Divine Dance, I think, comes from the thinking of theologian Thomas Barry, who talked about how the universe is a Communion of subjects, not a collection of objects. And he was trying to revitalize the connection of connecting people to the sacredness of creation. And it's interesting to me that you focus on relationship as a way to enter the Divine Dance because for me, that is a specific example of connection and Communion with creation

But I think after listening to you I feel I need to go back again and read the book because I've heard a lot of people even rereading the book. So yeah, I'm going to do that. And I'm going to be coming back to your swell again

@WeddedPath Thank you🙏🏾✨✨

And our survival and thriving is married into each other's successes or failures. And I fundamentally believe this is my idea of relationships that we're all in relationship and people you hear that word and they think like intimate relationships. But everything is a relationship to me. Do you know what I mean? And the level of intimacy just depends on the two people. But I'm Yeah, I don't really have anything to say. That was an amazing swell. And just thank you for sharing

Hi, Tim. Thank you for your response. I'm not family with Thomas Berry and his works, but you you make a good your point about a relationship, this divine dance relationship being a stepping stone that allows us to totally connect. I do think that relationship is not one sided with just humanity, but it is with the universe. It is with everything and everyone that was created. We are so interconnected and connected that we don't realize how we affect one another
