Ideas of Pop Art
I'll be talking about the main ideas of pop art. Number one was creation of artwork on media based products which led towards blurring the boundaries between high art and low art culture. Second, the majority of Pop art artists began their careers in commercial art and Eval and Edrasta were highly successful magazine illustrators. Third, it could be argued that Abstract Expressionists searched for trauma in the soul, while pop artists searched for traces of the same trauma in the mediated world of advertising, cartoons and popular imagery
