Bovier bought Salvatore Mundi's Renaissance era painting, credited to Leonardo da Vinci, for $83 million. Then he turned around and sold it to Rebolov a day later for 127 and a half million dollars. Bovier, who also sold Rebov's work by Klimt, Picasso, Margaret and others court, said that Sotheby's was not liable for Bovier's dealings, and it may be hard to feel much sympathy for Rabolov, given that he then sold the Salvatore Monday painting in 2017 for $450.3 million
And then they've been lost. And apparently the israeli government is claiming that Trump has them in Mar a Lago. It's a fantastic story if you haven't heard it

One of the sad things, I think, Rooster, is the fact that it's so easy to believe that Trump did steal him. I mean, that's just his modus operandi. He's not a good guy on so many levels and just common theft it of anything. I just believe that he's very capable of doing that. Probably has him in his bathroom, on a shelf, who knows? Or just in a box
