This drastic shift from individuals being content consumers to content creators can be considered as a clear demarcation between web 10 and 20. For instance, you can just pull out your phone, click a picture, upload it, type a cool caption and share it with millions of people all within a few clicks. Today's web 20 is great in many ways, but like all good things, it can be improved. And that's where the whole concept of web 3.0 kicks in
So, yeah, that's the biggest benefit that I see of decentralization in the web, that you get to own your own identity. You're not just an account on Facebook. You're not just an account on Instagram. And these platforms are able to monetize your content just because you have an account on their service and it's not an independent entity. Your identity is not not an independent entity. So that to my mind, is a big thing
So I am currently using a Web Three, supposedly a Web Three email service where they promise that it's decentralized in the sense that I just need to use my MetaMask or Coinbase wallet to connect with them. And I get an inbox and an email address, and the email address uses my wallet URL, so I have to buy a domain and connect it to my wallet and that becomes my email address

Because the news organization does fact check, fact checking, but a random person who's reporting it could be on Twitter, but their source is really, trust me, grow. So I think that's the one fault that lies with Web 2.0 and in journalism especially, the credibility part is really questionable. And a lot of fake news started being spread around. We learn so many new things. We learned the death of Rowan Atkinson, somebody who's well and truly alive, so many other fake news
