Have you learned from the locked down world?

During the past academic semester, we've been isolated, electronically connected, but not in a classroom, and we haven't had a chance to do anything with walking through artistic venues or going out on a road trip to see creative media or digital animation at the Coal Face. When I normally teach class of media writing, it's something involving experts who visit and opportunities where we go to see people working, where they may be doing things that our students can help create

I have learned to not take going outside, like going outside to go to campus for granted, cause I really want to go back from doing this online stuff. Kind of learn like when this is all over to get outside more and basically to tour, Specs, boundaries and everything

@Goth_Wife so emotive. And we can meet to review journals.

Louise, I can hear the frustration in your voice tell you I've set aside time to look at the media writing sketch notebooks on campus, so I need to see them virtually through a video call or separated with a mask and space on campus. You can book with me at calendar. Comtopoldconnell to set up a booking to either do the video of the book, which definitely respects boundaries, or to meet up on campus. We've learned a lot by being apart

Getting used to my remote workspace in my bedroom.

So Besides that, I think what's important during these signs and what I learned is just to maintain positive, even if it's in a smirmy way, like I constantly do anything to keep a happy face while you're doing the work and not seeing that many people is good because the most lively action I have at the moment is my window not being able to close properly and opening up in the middle of the night

Taking things for granted.

So I feel like I've taken my first year experience because even currently, right now, I'm still in touch with most of my classmates. And if I'm taking breaks, we'll take breaks together over assignments and we'll watch movies, play games, we'll stay in touch, we'll talk to each other on call. It's not just like check it up every so often

My view

Hi Bernie, it's Chris here. I wanted to say something about what I learned about myself College work, technology and about the lockdown in general. Firstly, know that I prefer staying at home, especially about doing work or doing my College work at home just in general

My view (independence)

I miss a lot of things from being down in accommodation, on my own, even the two hour drive, which I originally dreaded I've now begun to miss because it was just a time where I could just relax as we drove from one house to another house

Routine!

I feel like for some people, like myself, I feel like doing the work in College is a lot more engaging and you're able to actually kind of force yourself to do things that way. But I feel like when you're left to your own devices, it can be difficult to stay on track with things. And I think it's easy for management and to slip out of your hands. Really, it is a very difficult times for everybody. I think

The little things

But I'll need to interchange apps. I'll need to uninstall an app to download another one. And that's kind of the main thing I've been struggling with just keeping all the different apps for calling Village. Really? That's kind of it. Yeah

What I have learned from Lockdown world. I have learned that people are extremely flexible and can accommodate themselves very quickly in a new and average environment. I was also that despite covid 19 is existing more than one year school existence didn't collapse. Controller found a new solution like lectures, meetings online and is trying to keep quality of learning as high as it was before pandemic. Even though COVID cost of complications in everyone's lives, there was a surprising upside for me. Before the lockdown

Keeping up with classes.

Yo, it's Fearghal here. And as I've said before, I was never really a very outgoing person, so nothing really changed when the lockdown happened, at least in terms of interests. I'm still just staying in my room, not really going outside, just watching new things and playing new things at other same rate that I always have been. But in terms of what I've learned, the main thing that comes to mind is how attending classes and doing work has shifted slightly

My Work Motivation and Attention

Hi, Bernie. It's Dylan. Just about your question. I kind of agreed with what Fargo said about managing your own routine and being on time and stuff. I found myself I had the hang of it for a while at the beginning, but I've noticed that I have let it slip a small bit. Keeping up at work has become more difficult due to me being forgetful and stuff like that. Keeping up with assignments has definitely slacked a small bit

You don't realise how much you miss something until it's gone

So basically because of the lockdown, I've created a little cycle for myself, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people have where I basically roll out of bed like five minutes before class starts. And even like this caused me to be going to bed later. So it's a bit of a messy cycle, which I'm going to have to fix before lockdown ends. And we go back to class physically, because that's something I can't exactly do
