Once I left home, there were family members I felt close to as a kid. But as I became an adult, our relationship changed, and I sought for the longest to try to put things together. And I even tried to ask questions about what happened. And there were no answers, no effort on the other side of the thing. So I said, I shall go forward in life

So to me, she's just as much of a mom as my biological mother, but they are both only children, and my mom doesn't know her biological father either. So my mom and I both have that in common that we were raised by one parent that wasn't biologically related to us. And because of that, we don't know much about our genealogy, if that makes sense
