I Hate You by Little Sims. And in that song, we have this lyric, I'm not forgiving for you, man. I'm forgiving for me. The song is about a woman struggle with her relationship with her father. It's a very broken relationship, and she is struggling with feelings. I love you, but I hate you and she finally expresses like, I'm forgiving you, man, but it's not for you

And if that person denies the forgiveness or denies the apology, then I don't think that person really was genuinely sorry for what they did or in their way, they offended somebody. They probably didn't see it at all. But it's become a knee jerk reaction, especially in the corporate world. And like the people business world where you have to issue these apologies to kind of save face, to keep your image up and to keep your pockets lined with the dollars of those that you depend on
