article image placeholderThe Midnight Library Audiobook on Libro.fm
I'm about a quarter of the way through the book and I have a feeling I'm going to have to really work hard to stop listening tonight so I can get some sleep. The reading is just absolutely beautiful. I'm loving the narrative so far I can't wait to see what happens

Absolutely delighted so far! https://s.swell.life/SSHyuXfABcm45pG

Can’t wait to discuss with you at book club!

Okay, so I'm in love with this author from Sweden called Frederick Bachmann, because when Bachman writes, he puts the emotion in it and the reality and basically for lack of better word heart. So I've always been in love with back then. And I'll tell you after I the the the the the the the the the Midnight Library by Matt Haig be back then I finished the book and I'm thinking, okay, close second. I'm sorry back then. Second

I think I have to check out Bachmann next because you just said so many amazing things about his work. And if there's kind of any correlation to Matt Higgs book so far, I have a feeling and I'll really like it. So we shall see more book soon

Backman!

So here's the thing. I think he started off with a man called UVA, and that was my first exposure to Backman then he had two other books, which was my grandmother asked me to tell you, she's sorry. And Britt Marie was here. Both those books weren't as good as a man called over. They were good, a lot of eccentric characters, and they were good. Okay. And then he did Bear Town, which the bookstagram community is like

Just about to order my copy!

Okay, you guys got me to look up this book, The Midnight Library. And I must say that it has a very, very interesting premise. I've never read any other or work by this author, but I am totally hooked. So I think I'm going to just go ahead and order my copy and probably I'll come back here to share my views on this. But I'm Bobby, thank you so much for sharing this

There's just something about it that is so whimsical and moving and I am already up way too late past my bedtime because I just want to keep listening so we'll be really curious to hear what you think. Hopefully, I'm not setting the bar too high before you read it. I but looking forward to hearing more for sure

Hey, Ramya. So. So glad you're gonna read the Midnight Library. So by the time you get the book and read it, I'm hoping by then I should have the podcast edited and up so you can listen to our discussion of the books. And I will post it on as well. And also, speaking of recommendations and stuff, I think I'll just leave it here on Swell. That what my book club is reading

By the way, guys, I just wanted to share something about another book that I'm currently reading along with this one. It's Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and it's absolutely hilarious, serious, full of eccentric characters and suspenseful and wacky and irreverent. It's definitely one of the best books I've come across this year, so I I thought you might want to check it out if you haven't already. So just sharing that here

@bowie, @NamelessJournal

So there's no spoilers for you. You already know is our next book is Hamneck by Maggie O'farrow. The book after that is cast by Isabel Wilkerson. And then the next book is what was it? Bowie? Can you help us, girl, woman, other. And I don't remember the author, but that's rated very highly on Goodreads four point 42 rating on Goodreads, which is a very high rating. So I'm really looking forward to that

Other books by Matt Haig?

And I was curious if anyone else in the group had read any of his other books, and if they had other recommendations, other books were as amazing as the Midlife Library Super curious. Hope you all are having a great day

@loribpalmer Curious about his other books too!

I have not read it though, and I do feel curious to read more of his work, but I definitely feel like, as you know, the TBR list is so long, and since I just read Midnight Library, I don't know if I'd want to read more of his work, like super soon unless someone had a really great recommendation for one of his books, because I know he has many so very curious as well, if anyone else has read any of his other books, and if you highly recommend them

Reasons to Stay Alive (memoir)

Yes, I'm looking at his list on Goodreads, and there are a lot of books that he's written. A lot of them look like young adult mystery, like even paranormal mystery type stuff. But I did just add his is memoir of Reasons to Stay Alive to my TBR. Like, I don't know how soon I'll get to it just because there are so many books on my TBR, but yeah, it definitely books like an interesting one. It might be a good perspective

Heard of that Matt Haig book! Hmmm!

Feel good. Kind of book. Have either of you read his book, that book, The House in the Civilian Sea. And also I'm told that his other book, TJ clone's other book, the Extraordinaires, is really good also. So I was just like, and then you have authors who one hit one because they write a book and then the rest of it's all bad. But I can't think of any right now, but yeah, so it's really interesting

I have not read The House in the Cerulean Sea yet. I do own it and I need to read it because literally everybody that's read it that I know has said that it's absolutely fantastic and amazing and wonderful. So definitely need to move the that up on my TBR. I mean, I'd like to try to finish it before the end of 2020, but I'm not sure that will happen. We'll see maybe winter break or like going into January

SAME!

Fame. It's also on my TPR since you've spoken so highly about it, Shannon's probably gonna be an early January read for me since I still have about, like five books to get through over the next next couple of weeks. So I'll definitely let you know when I read it
