Housing For The Low Income And The Disconnect
Gavin had signed off on something a while back, which I had already known about it, but it takes a while before I can't even say goes in effect, because it's been in effect. But now more people know. Access should be helping 1000 of San Diego with housing, because even with the affordable housing, the section eight, it's becoming hard for that population there, that community, that demographic of people. And it's a thing between the landlords and just them, right?
And now with Gavin Newsom just creating the free health care for all immigrants, that's going to just further drive up tax cost and almost dilute health care because there's going to be a lot longer wait times and it's just going to really make things a little bit more complicated in California and as more and more things happen, because California loves to lead the nation. Right. And I have a lot of love for California again, I lived there for five years and I loved every second of it
I love California because it's so beautiful. Mine's going like my sea privilege and just know it's lovely. But the way that it's set up here, it kind of sometimes makes you not be able to see that. Right? And sometimes you have to stop and see that and you can't even really enjoy it because of stuff like this. It's a tourist city. That's exactly what it is. It's a fact
And in a country that does nothing to assist in wages, we hear a constant, you have to work multiple jobs, side hustles, gigs. We have a very negative work culture. Nothing is being done to assist in the housing issue. And considering the fact that we have migrants now, and an example of this in Chicago is that our migrant circumstances getting so outrageous, the government is assisting migrants with rent as well as with furnished apartments
Like two bedrooms are like, damn, there's 3000. And let me just tell you, the deposits is crazy. There's this new law that they have some laws this year where they can only charge one month of deposit. They can't do this twice, three times crap. And these other laws they put in place geared toward these landlords. I understand a lot of them got hit when Covid happened there
And if we're going to keep voting for these folks, make them do something, make them earn your vote. Because no one does, not one single person. Because I don't see anyone out there around here with saying anything like, we need this, this and that. Kind of like, okay, this is what we got. He's the best. It's like a popularity contest. And I'm over it. Because no one thinks about the bigger picture. They really don't
