The importance of understanding Neuroplasticity

article image placeholderUploaded by @TheMs.Leanne
Knowing these students, knowing that you see them as less than and less capable of, because you don't understand this concept of neuroplasticity, especially when it comes to traumatic brain injury. Wow. Talk about what that does to someone's mental health that a teacher they look up to, or any teacher, any professional, sees them as less than. Okay, y'all, I am about running out of time, so I definitely want to hear your thoughts on this

But there's two schools of thought. You have, as you said, the old school method, where teachers view certain students with limitations simply by the labels that are assigned to them. You're limited, and that's it. You can't go any further. And then someone like yourself, who goes above and beyond to try to enrich the students environment, to enhance their focused attention and challenge them and stimulate them in different ways

You. Wow. Thank you so much for your input to this conversation. I really appreciate it. Yes. Structural neuroplasticity. It is absolutely amazing and just fascinating to me. My goodness. Wow. Thank you so much for your kind words about being a teacher. It's obviously something I'm very passionate about. I'm still doing it. I'm still still there, so there's got to be something, right? So thank you. And I enjoy your swells as well
