How to Have Geniune, Meaningful Conversations: Breaking Through My Barriers

article image placeholderUploaded by @theertha
So every time I was talking to somebody, my focus would be completely on myself, and I always thought about how they would view me if they liked me, if I was coming across as smart and confident and sensible. And while they used to go on talking and they expected me to listen, I would just focus on what I was going to say next, and this completely distracted me from the conversation. And I just stopped truly like fully listening to them

Thank you @Enfinit for inspiring me to make this SWELL!

Thank you so much for this. This is so powerful. And I think you're, like, incredibly brave and enlightened to know that by yourself, recognize it, do something about it and then share it with us because you just, well, I went on a journey with you as you told us your story

It's like having those precious in our culture. We collect, like, really nice. It's a China cabinet. What do you call it? You have your fine China, but you never eat out of it, right? But self love is one of those pieces in the China cabinet in our culture that we actually eat out of. We serve ourselves in this fine China. I'm horrible at making comparisons and stuff, but that's exactly what it is
