Embracing The Shadow: The Cult Of Pain

article image placeholderUploaded by @TheDevilsHorse
It's a pact of the broken, a bond of the lost, a love of the lonely, at whatever the cost. And though others may fear it and run from its call, I welcome the darkness and let it enthrall. For in this embrace I find peace within and in the shadows grasp I let my soul spin, so I bask in its embrace and revel in the night. A cult of the lonely with pain as its light for the darkness is my home, my soul is my friend

And I particularly like the fact in the poem that each and every line is so much enthused with passion for pain. So I just love it because I have seen people, those who were or are in pursuit of a glorious goal, they kind of start loving the pain. They kind of start loving the agony it brings with you and they kind of feel glory in it, which each line in your poem teaches us

I was so engrossed in listening to your poem that I did not really catch on many of them, but it was absolutely mind blowing and wonderful. Regarding the topic of your poem, you always write on the darker side and you make it interesting and engrossing. But this one particularly touches a topic that I also somewhere find it to be true. I think pain is comforting after a point of time. The moment you experience pain, there is a lot of discomfort

I completely agree with you, Ranjana. The phrases. Oh, my God. Same question. Where did you bring these phrases from? The pain is freeing. That is something that caught my ear. Also, I'm not gonna lie. I mean, this thought that pain frees you up? My goodness. I mean, how are you thinking all these? It's so pleasantly surprising, and it makes you really think that's genius

Thank you so much, Gunjan. It's always a pleasure to hear from you and your inputs and your understanding towards it as well as your thought process towards that poem. As far as where I get these phrases from, certain of these elements have been a part of my life. This particular poem, embracing the shadow cult of pain. It's a very intricate aspect, you can say a dance of darkness and the shadows around it

And, yes, I'm thrilled to know that you loved it and you find it one of my best poems, and I couldn't agree with you more on that. I think I thanked Gunjan as well in the previous reply, and the phrases. It's like Himanshi say somewhere, a certain element of these, if not all the poems, I would say, but few of the poems, certain elements are a part of me
