Old Problematic Disney Films

article image placeholderUploaded by @taythepisces
So I just really want to know what everyone's thoughts are on this and how they think Disney, if they handled it well with their little warning or if they should have handled it a different way, if they shouldn't even have those films available to watch. What are your thoughts

And I think that it's important to have that conversation that we do not condone this, and we do not think that this is right and we shouldn't have this in our media and we should be growing from it and learning from it and evolving as a society. But I thought that this is really important that you noted, because I feel like a lot of it goes over our heads and stuff, and I think it's important to acknowledge it and understand that this is not right

While it may be problematic with these movies themselves, I think it's really good to show culture and showing all we messed up during then and providing this message before every movie and using these movies as ways to learn and not to completely block out things from the past. Obviously, cancel culture is good for other things, like in real life Besides Disney. So like the statues of people during Civil War, I think we should not be having monuments for these people who are fighting for a side of slavery
