The LA Clippers - Let’s get into it!

article image placeholderThe Clippers' winning ways began with a change of mindset
All right, the Los Angeles Clippers, let's talk about it. I remember several months ago, probably back in November, we had a conversation here on swell about the Clippers. Could they do anything? What's going on with them? And the vast majority of the responses were that the Clippers would not amount to anything this season in the NBA. But since then, things have certainly turned around for them

Well, even they're worse than the Dallas Cowboys because the Dallas Cowboys did win championships. They never won the championship because they're a regular season team. There's some teams that play great in the regular season and then once they go to the playoffs, it's over. Harden is that type of guy. I want to see what Harden can do in the playoffs. I want to see what Paul George can do in the playoffs

And, and he says that for the same reason that I've been thinking it, and that's James Harden. I've watched James Harden play in the playoffs for years and dating back to the early days with Oklahoma City when they had a very young and talented team. And while Westbrook and Durant did very well in the playoffs, the missing production was from Harden. And then he just kind of disappeared. And then he went to the Houston Rockets. That's where he really perfected his disappearing act

Fellas, thank you so much for the responses here. If only James Harden could hear you guys, he would find the lack of faith disturbing, but not unwarranted. I mean, you're definitely correct. He does have a history of becoming absent when the team really needs him, at least historically. That's what happens with him. And I think that as sports fans, that's something that tend to do a lot

When I look at the Clippers, historically speaking, they're one of the more cursed franchises in all of sports. When you look at teams like the Chargers, Angels, Mets and Jets, those four other teams, they always seem to have stacked rosters to start the season, but for whatever reason, they just can never reach their full potential. And that's how I view the Clippers on a couple of occasions
