Today my post is not about travel but about the mission which makes me to travel. And it's so sad to hear that Ford has shut down its operation in India. Very hard to hear. And Ford was one of the American automaker who managed to operate in India for about 20 years. Heat produced cars not for raising but for reliability and traveling long distances. Many of the trips I've done on a car other than bike is of Fort, so I miss Fold so much

Ford vs Hyundai

Hey, Gowtham, thank you for bringing this up. It is indeed a sad news to see that Ford is leaving India from both from manufacturing and operations. I think remember correctly, the Ford and Hyundai had started their journey together. I would still believe that the product lines that they brought into the market was not that appealing with respect to Hyundai started with a hatchback car where Ford started with the Cedar, and at that point of time the Indian customers were not ready for that type of cars

But initially, when they came inside India, the second time, they had a 50 50 strategy with Mahindra. So I hope this is a strategical decision, and I think they'll come back again. But the Sadis part now is for the people who are owning the Ford car. But Ford has given an assurance that they will still provide service through their distributors. And also they're planning to sell Ford cars through their distributors on import segment on the higher end segment
