article image placeholderUploaded by @oraidatalks
Hello, you guys. Coming today with a different swell, tapping more into the criminal justice system today. Something that's been circulating for a couple weeks now is Illinois passing a law that's ending cash bail. And it has recently gained the nickname the Purge Law, based off a famous film franchise, The Purge, which I'm sure you have either heard about it or you have seen the film yourself

And it comes out of our tax dollars. But it's not as beneficial for crime itself. Crime does not stop. It actually makes crime more likely to occur based upon the fact that those who are in jail are charged. Once they get charged I got a criminal record, so the odds of you getting a job out there are seldom to none. So you have to turn to a life of crime reoffend. You see how that works? But it's interesting

I feel bad for the citizens that may not have voted for it per se, but are going to be victims of a sick, evil, communist way of thinking and allowing it's literally a violation of our country's law. Literally. It's a violation of federal law to do that, to just say, okay, you're a criminal, you can do whatever you want. We're going to set you free, we're not going to touch you, talk to you

And another thing I want to say is that if I'm correct, Illinois, they outlaw bouncy hunting. Like 50 plus years ago, for example. The states that have bounty hunting, where it's legal, like here in Arizona or Minnesota, those places they're needed, right? It saves police departments money. The bills bomb, man. The bills bond can hire bouncy hunters to go after criminals. And plus, it's a liability that police departments don't have to deal with

Hey, let me clear some things up. So, yeah, when it comes to the safety act, yes, law enforcement, they don't want the liability of dealing with civilian if it's illegal. This is why places like, you know, Minnesota, Arizona, Texas, this is why they have bounty hunters. Civilians, they can do a lot as long as they're given the powers. They can act as law enforcement, but without following the constitution. Right?

Hey, it's definitely concerning. And you're right. The world is watching. And the other concerning part I don't live in Illinois, but the other concerning part is the other political entities and different states that are also watching and going to potentially consider borrowing from the successes and learning intriguing from the failures of how Illinois operationalizes this and then implementing it in other states

The reason why we love capitalism, because you can go out to a restaurant, you can have a big a** plate of food. You can order large, this king size that, extra large, whatever. So much, right? We all love it. But I do wonder if the idea that capitalism is the right system. I feel like this idea comes from these upper class telling us that, hey, make me more billions

So it's catchy and everyone is pretty much scared. But it is something that is concerning and there's not one solution fits all, I feel, when it comes to this. But, yes, I appreciate you guys. Let's keep the conversation going and I'll catch you on the next one
