Q & A here now and for all time 🌱🙃

Hey, this is Deborah Pardes. We just had our session on the South By Southwest Channel. And this Q and A will go on for as long as we're talking. So we'd love to hear some thoughts and some questions. And that's what the nature of this app is all about. So happy you're here can't wait to hear your voice. And thanks for taking the time

Enjoyed this session. Quick question or potentially quick question. Gigi Johnson just joined us. Well, today. How does this work with podcasts, especially existing podcasts? I've been running Innovating, music and Creative Innovators. And so I've got existing podcasts. How could that kind of narrative connect up with Swell as a voice thinking about. I think there's a lot of power in informal conversations. There's short form conversations. And how does that tie in with the identity and voice and podcasting?

Podcast compliment @gigijohnson

You give them www. Dot swellcast. Comdgjohnson and they get there and they see what you've done. They haven't even downloaded the app yet, but they hear you and then they download the app and then they respond. So it's a super great complement to existing podcast content

I love the idea of Swell because it really is. In contrast with Instagram, Twitter, and stuff like that, you don't even have to visualize something. You have information presented as pictures and videos such as TikTok. But invoice communication it takes more to express thoughts and opinions, and it takes more to listen to them, to imagine and to rethink what you have just heard. I think this is a fantastic app

@Pecatum science is the best!

Pavel, that's a great idea. Science is a such a robust sort of universal topic. So I look forward to hearing your thoughts on that in this wellcast, and I hear an accent. So I'm going to say, Dobridgen and tell me that if that was the right language. Thanks

@lindalorelle #podcast

Hey, Deborah, it's Linda Laurel in Houston. Wanted to say thanks for answering the question about how to use Webcast with existing podcasts. I've got one that's been going going for over two years now, audio and video. And I really love the idea of being able to invite the audience to respond to what they just heard and to engage. So I'm looking forward to really integrating the Swell app into the content that I'm already producing. So thanks so much

@LindaL2021 birds ;)

Hey Linda, I'm so happy that you have a bird that's your partner back there, too, because I think that we need more bird noises in the podcast world. But seriously, it's wonderful that you have an inkling to integrate it. And please keep us posted here. You can also just put promote your podcast in your swell cast, which is a way for us to all kind of loop things back into themselves. So it's an exciting ecosystem. And thanks a lot for responding

Who knew that the birds were going to make my swell cast? Wow. I guess maybe I should record more of my podcast outside like I did the SNOWCAST. Thanks for the heads up too. About promoting the podcast on my slow cast. I will get right and I will keep you posted. Thanks, Deborah. Have a great day

Hey, Congratulations, guys. I'm really excited to see that you launched and I just jumped on here to try it myself. I'd be curious to know what features are on your roadmap because as a podcaster and as a user of both Clubhouse and Twitter spaces, I would love to see if you have the ability to create audiograms which are little bits or excerpts from a podcast matched with some video, and also perhaps the ability to export the audio and finally, transcriptions

@msmithivas @sudha @arish

Hey, Mark, thanks for the question. I've actually heard you a few times here already this morning. So great to have your voice on Swell. And those are very good questions, very specific questions. So it's easy for me to invite one of the people that really is in charge of the architecture of this product and also the roadmap. So I'm going to invite her here and let's see if we were lucky enough to have her come on and answer that question for you

Mark, thank you so much for those questions. Everything that you indicated is actually in the product roadmap. I don't have specific times as to when they will get picked up and implemented, but please stay tuned in the community knows that we keep releasing new bills every two months or so. Hopefully, these are features that will come in the next few months

#swell #writing #audiodrama

Hi, Deborah, this is Kendra. I'm a writer and thank you for your presentation about Swell. I think it's a very cool product. I'm interested it and writing for audio. And I've written some audio dramas and I am looking forward to exploring Swell and how you can use it for creative writing. And maybe I don't know, like community writing or something like Finish the story, one of those games. Anyway, I think this is really cool. And thanks. Bye

You can also have private groups where you can collaborate with other writers without anybody else seeing so that you can go back and forth. Those two functions for me have been really helpful, but I'm going to go ahead and link you to Story Slam and see if you want to add to that. And I'm also going to introduce you to Bowie

And also this happens to be a year that a couple of my friends have invited me to be guest specialists on podcasts. And so it's been a year where, as someone who used to always have that weird thing about hearing the sound of my own voice and being weirded out by that, I've all of a sudden used my voice more. And I think that this being a more interactive version of that, in a broader sense, is a pretty cool thing

That because I sometimes pace when I'm thinking out loud, and I was just thinking about it with voice becoming more of a focus again, going back to what I said before, about being unsure about hearing my own voice in recordings and stuff like that? Are there thoughts about people wanting to kind of train their voice to sound more friendly for this kind of platform versus just authentically talking the way that you usually do?

@elongatedJ 🌱 as mentioned @SpeakingSchool @GivingVoice

So as you grow your swell cast and you invite people in by socializing it in other apps and get people to start learning that you're here. I think you're going to hear some familiar voices, which makes it really comforting and then peppered in with those are voices from people all around the world. And that's kind of really cool as well

But for anyone else listening who might be interested in doing all these things, Audacity is free, and you could prerecord whatever it is you want to present, whether it's a trailer for your podcast or a chapter of an audio drama, and that allows you the opportunity to even put sound effects and music beds and all that kind of stuff in a multi track and then deliver that directly through that cable to your phone and upload it right to Swell
