The Modern-Day Denial Story (Part 1)

Nor am I here to ponder on how responsibilities and stress levels rise during this decade of our lives, or how following fads, be it diet or fitness, might complicate matters. Instead, I wish to speak from experience of how and why we deny the signs that our bodies give off. My father ran a successful business, but he was home by 08:00 p.m. Every evening. He traveled often, but he didn't work weekends. Instead, he relaxed or hung out with his friends

You. Hi. I can understand where you're coming from. You know, a lot of times, not just women, but men also, they avoid talking about their health issues because then they feel that the management or the bosses would perceive them as inadept in carrying out their functions to the best. And that is why they keep it under wraps most of the times. And probably that's the corporate culture that has developed over time and makes people pretend that everything is hunky dory and they are invincible
