Non recyclable plastic to 💰 💰

article image placeholderKenyan woman finds a way to recycle plastic waste into bricks that are stronger than concrete
A materials engineer from Kenya has found a way to convert plastic that is no longer recyclable and other facilities don't want into bricks. Bricks that are five to seven times more stronger than concrete bricks and much lighter, so cheaper to transport. This is a fascinating article about how they are changing plastic recycling processes in Kenya and converting it into usable bricks that can be used in construction. Take a look and there's a video at the end

And by acknowledging this new invention that is really brilliant. And I'm so excited. And I think that it will really transform our world in a positive way, acknowledging that it came from Kenya and uplifting the fact that there are multiple countries that all are made up of so many different neighborhoods and cities. And it's not just like a desert land with a bunch of animals, like, I think we see so often in media. I think this really helps highlight that

Yeah. That's awesome. I think that is really awesome. And it makes sense that it would be stronger than a brick because it's non recyclable. So it's not going anywhere. And know of some programs that people have made just the simplest houses out of brick out of these interlocking bricks. But yeah, I think that's wonderful. And I think that it is also great that it came out of Nigeria. I mean, Kenya, I'm sorry, Kenya. So thanks for sharing

I love how she said in the video, I was building it as I was falling down. That is the true entrepreneurial spirit talking so amazing. What a great example of just looking at a message surround you and saying, no, I'm not going to stand by this anymore. I'm going to innovate and she did. And I can see these. I know they're pavers now, but they're going to become bricks for homes and all of Africa will be impacted hopefully and then the world

I know I'm really late to add to this, but I recently actually heard about this, and I am also just as excited as everybody else here. I think that it does mean a step in the right direction in terms of reversing everything that we've done to this planet
