How did your parents/upbringing impact you?

So I'm thinking about as a parent, I like to reflect on my own upbringing and how that has influenced and impacted me as I am raising my own kids and thinking about the influence and impact I have on them. So I'm wondering, what are some things you grew up and disagreed with them on and what are some things that looking back you think were valuable in the experience they gave you and especially if you're a parent, but even if you're not, how is that?

How does your worldview compare to your parents? #childhood #parenting #influences #legacy

My upbringing

It wasn't like I was a little kid, like twelve year old. I knew what I was doing, and my upbringing in some ways was a bit dysfunctional. But there was love there, and I could sense in my mind that she was trying to do what her mom couldn't do for her

My parents taught me about love

I believe in letting people do what they want to do. So that's one area that's changed. Definitely my perspective on some certain Christian doctrines and stuff is definitely different from my parents, but probably the biggest takeaway. Chris is crazy. I have seven siblings and we are all very different. Some of my siblings are atheists, some of them are Christian, some of them agnostic
