Music Mondays! Give me some recommendations!

article image placeholderUploaded by @studentlife
I mean, in return, does anybody have any music act that they really like, that they think that would be worth a recommendation? Because I am looking for new music

Hey, I hope your Monday is going well. I think this is a wonderful idea. I know your hashtags say rock and roll and hiphop, but my recommendations as of right now are Dreamer Boy and Far Caspian and not sure if you know who those bands are, but I personally love them for more chill vibe. I don't know if that's really what you're looking for, but they definitely make me feel some type of way

I am right there with you. My love language is food number one. So that is hilarious that you said that. And I'm definitely going to give them a listen because I don't really watch music videos. So I'm excited because yeah, that's just not something I do. So I'll give it a look and I'm sure I'll love it

So I would always recommend Greta on Fleet. They're like my favorite band ever. They're like rock. Yeah. I would describe them as rock. They're super good. I would also recommend hippocampus. They're more like Indy, I guess. And I like all of their songs. So check them out

So some of my favorites that I've been listening to recently are Mac Miller Death Cab for Cutie. And I've definitely been getting back into the Foo Fighters after the super sad passing of Taylor Hawkins. So I would say all those three are like probably my favorite right now. So I would definitely give them a listen. And the song, I definitely recommend desktop. Perhaps first is I will follow you into the dark and soul meets body

This band has its roots in black metal. I think I've talked about them on Swell before, but here I am doing it again because I love them so d*** much. But they have their roots in black metal. I believe the lead singer was part of the backing band for a pretty legendary black metal musician that goes by the name of Eson. And they ended up forming Lepers. And it's Inar, the lead singer. It's his baby

He's a different vibe too, but yeah, just giving you a little bit of everything here. Hope you enjoy or take a listen to each of them and just kind of give me a little feedback on what you think about them. Good luck with your music Mondays. It's sounds fun and I will continuously give you recommendations if you're asking

And then Moduskin is a new Italian band, and they're most known for their cover of begging, but they have a lot of good songs in Italian that are just really nice. So yeah, I would recommend checking out Arctic Monkeys, go to Vancouver and Mona skin

But I don't know if you've ever seen that show Portlandia, but Washed Out did their theme song. Well, not for the show, but they had a song called Feel It All Around that Portlandia used as their theme song. So the reason why I'm saying you should check them out if you don't already know who Washed Out is because they sound like a Crossman between Dreamer Boy and Far Caspian. I think you'd like them

I like Sunlocks a lot. I checked out a couple of their music videos. They're definitely right up my alley. I kind of like electronic, like kind of like vibing music. And they kind of remind me of, like a cross between Animal Collective and the Books, which are two great bands that I would look up if you don't already listen to them. But, yeah, they're great. I'm definitely going to add some luxe to my playlist

@Taylor

Hey, Taylor. So thank you for the recommendation. I know we've talked before about having we both have an affinity for metal, so I went ahead and gave Lepers to listen, and I am very impressed. I like them a lot, and I do really like the lead singer voice. It's very angelic like in the best way possible. So, yeah, definitely adding to my repertoire. Thank you for the suggestion. I love it

I think that's how you say their last name. I don't know, but I really like their style and I like the music. So, yeah, I'm definitely going to add them to my new music files. Thank you. They're so good. And when I just want to do art and vibe out, there definitely going to be my new go tos

Yeah, the Architect monkeys are really good. I love them. I've been listening to them for a minute since high school. And yes, they are definitely in my top artists. But I haven't heard of Modest Skin yet. So I'm going to go ahead and give that a try. Thank you for the recommendation

Yes. This Music Monday would be really helpful because I'm kind of pulled to listen to the same songs, like, almost every day on Loop. Some songs that I'm really into right now. Now are by Eric Nam, especially loved a young is such a beautiful song. And his latest album is Beautiful. And other songs that I'm really into. I one of the songs is called Yellow Paper Daisy by When Charmed Toast
