Colts Bills Live!

article image placeholderBills Colts
It's kickoff time. And our first game of the day takes us up to Orchard Park, New York, where the Indianapolis Colts travel to take on the Buffalo Bills. This is a game the Indianapolis Colts are actually coached by I Frank Reich, was a backup quarterback at Buffalo and back in 92 or 93, actually led the Buffalo Bills to the biggest comeback win they've ever had in playoff history

What to look for in this game

Drops the past doesn't catch it, and they ended up punching the ball away. Got to make those catches. Just have to. But the cold seemed to be running the ball pretty well. I think they'll stay in this game, but the defense has really got to step it up here for the second quarter

Hey, Phil, I'm watching the game. Go Bills. I have a question and I'm kind of confused about it. I just watched Josh Allen run the ball through a tremendous stiff arm on to the face of a defender. And I can't understand for the life of me why that's not a 15 yard penalty on Josh Allen and or any running back when it is clearly a penalty for anybody else on the field. I significantly less video

I think that's the ultimate undoing. I think that sends a lot of momentum on Buffalo's way, going into the locker room. And as we talked about before, Indianapolis tends to fade in the second half in big game, I see that happening. I think the spread is in danger. Nicole can bring it back and get it back together here. But that was a killer momentum move there. They needed push that ball in

@Howie stiff arms

Yeah. Howie, the stiff arm rule. I think that, you know, it comes from that the ball carrier needs to be able to defend himself and is free to use the one hand as much as possible. And he's given a lot of leeway to use that hand. And even if it goes to the face hands to the face, they get a lot of leeway on there

As a black dummy block lineman in high school, I find it ain't fair. This guy is allowed to smack you in the face with one hand as hard as he possibly can. And I can't retaliate. I'm sorry

Prime example of why you always take the points!

Something I heard from Bill Parcels years ago is when you have points that are pretty much automatic in the NFL, you have to take them. Just margin of error in this League is just that small. You have to take points where you can get them. You have to take game points and just not get greedy. And I've seen that play out a ton of times. And you go for the extra point. You go for the field goal when you can get them

Great game to watch. Loved the results because I was pulling for the Bills to win and absolutely agree with you that you got to take the points. Sometimes I think that the coaches in professional sports are very, very guilty of of overthinking and over coaching
