So you've got, like, an upside down bowl, and when it pops up, it occludes or compresses the lower part of the lungs. So to really fill your lungs, you need to press down or flatten the diaphragm. And what does that look like? It looks like your waist expands

http://bit.ly/SpeakingSchool_02 Think of the breath as the gasoline for the voice. Understanding the breath is integral to a strong and supple voice

Pranayama yoga doubles as a speaking exercise

And then when you exhale, you do that own chant and voice that comes out. And it is exactly, I think what you're asking us to do. So I will try to be more diligent with my yoga and keep in mind that I'm getting a double benefit. Hope it will help me with speaking as well. Thank you for the lesson

Next class! https://app.swell.life/swellcast/kebd

Hey, this is Deborah, the teaching assistant. I'm gonna link here lesson three. Also taking some deep breaths. Ali, I think it's really interesting what are said about the yoga specificity of Yoga of Gun, how the product breathing is so connected to the cycle of breath that you mentioned. And I am going to be more mindful, especially as a singer. I always have to remind myself to breathe and get wide and big in that area
