Finding my voice

So I guess we're going to keep on doing this. Well seems kind of interesting, and I'm willing to give it a try. My name is Lena Sideways, and I'd like to talk to you today about voice. As a trans woman, I've had a really difficult journey with my voice used to, before I transitioned get a lot of people mistaking me or mistaking me for a woman

You. Okay. I'll just speak about my thoughts when I see a trans woman or a trans man. Firstly, I admire their authenticity because I'm trying to find my authentic self. And I believe that you don't really care what people think about you, and that's a good thing. I couldn't do it. Not 100%, but you have done that. Even that is against the societal norms as of now. So I'm actually proud of you

This was a bit awkward to record, but thanks for sharing your story!

Hey, Lena, thank you for sharing your story about finding your voice. Really grateful that you could tell your personal story here and just vent a little bit. And it also gives the opportunity to people, people like me who don't know a lot of trans people in real life, to get to know a little bit more about what some of you that might sound a bit weird, but I mean, it well, might be facing or going through when doing things like finding your voice

#voice #community

And I think you're in a perfect place here on Swell to continue to discover and connect and build friendships and communities with people who share similar experiences and outlooks. This app, I believe, was founded because the voice is so hard to fake, right? Like it is such a direct representation of us
