No Contact with a Parent in Middle Age

Why hadn't I met him, who was his mother and always was met with? He tried to find him but could not. My brother stayed on my mind for many years. Although I had my adopted father and he had other children who have loved me and accepted me as their sibling. Although no blood relation, they still have only been the siblings that I grew up with and knew. I always vowed to find my biological brother, and I did

Hell, he had just met his father maybe ten years ago, face to face after knowing about him for almost 19 years. So my husband and I made a brave decision to relocate to the state my brother lived in after his passing so that I could be closer to my niece and nephews, so I could experience something new and find new ways to not only grow myself, but also to honor my brother. I really love the thoughts of others who have decided to go no contact

My dad and my dad kept encouraging me to talk to my brothers, and I understood why because I'm his child and they're his children, and he wanted us all to talk, but they're not interested. And so I just had to tell my dad, like, it's okay that they're not interested. They lived all of their lives with only having one sister. So if they're not interested in getting to know me, it's perfectly fine

When you find out that you have blood and you want to connect into it, it's a drive that's so primal and so beautiful, and it calls up in us behaviors that I think are extraordinary. So thank you both for continuing this conversation. I almost felt like I didn't want to come into it

And so it's a lot of healing for all of us for multiple reasons. I do thank you for sharing your story and sometimes when you are going through certain situations or experiences in your life, you can believe yourself to be the only one. But it's always encouraging to know that others relate. And I do think our names are similar. It is Shundrea and I wonder if it's Andrea or Andrea

Good morning. And yes, you are pronouncing my name correctly. It is Chandraya. And I asked Andrea, Andrea how to properly pronounce her name as well. Thank you for the reply, the response and the encouragement. I kind of came across swellcast accident Lee, and I thought I'd give it a try. Just always looking for ways to continue my own journey of healing in a variety of ways

And I'm grateful that his children have you by their side to help them and to encourage them and to show them that they can be different. They don't have to live in that pain. They don't have to live in the hurt, that they can move on and do something, something different. So I look forward to hearing more swells from you and as you go through your journey, I look forward to hearing that. And I'm sure we'll be talking again soon. Thank you

You. Thank you so, so much. And you're absolutely correct. I love to hear the words of encouragement and wisdom, especially from folks who have just experienced it themselves. I definitely will continue to try to and try to keep up with this as well as been cathartic for the past couple of days. And I love, love listening to this wellcast. Thank you again. And I know, like you said, we'll be chatting
