Drug Addicts Should Get Help Not Punishment.

article image placeholderUploaded by @Shruti_Singh
We still don't treat it like a disease and tend to blame the addict for their own disease. Certainly most of them made the choice to start doing drugs, and that choice lead them to an addiction. But we don't punish the obese, the alcoholics, or chronic smokers and people whose actions lead them to physical harm. Well, they need help because what they took was so highly addiction that they became addicted from doing that just once

Yeah. Thank you, Shruti, for mentioning that, for bringing the topic up. It's really important to get some insight on that

You know, there are better ways to control drug use than to punish the user. Addiction is a disease. People can get addicted to drugs faster and easier than other people due to how people are raised or even their, you know, social environment. No one would get punished for having any other kind of disease, so why punish someone for addiction? Not all those who use drugs commit serious crimes

I don't agree that Trajectory should get help and not punishment. Getting addicted to drugs is something really bad and it affects your health very badly, not only physically, but it also mentally and it puts you to depression wherein you can't get out of it. So all I suggest is that you should try to avoid as much as possible and your pilot that should get help and not punishment because they've already addicted to it and punishing them even more than that makes it all sound

Because if we help them, there are chances that they might turn as a productive strategy of the society, which in turn will help our country in one way or another. So it's better we use some kind of ways to help people. Thank you so much for playing in here. Have a great day
