You may need to unlearn a lot of lessons you taught your teeny self. You may need to remind yourself that you won't end up unloved and alone in this world. You may need to remind yourself that you won't meet all of everyone's expectations. So it's very simple I guess, not just as a child but as an adult to allow yourself to be excited about things nobody else notices and be silly when you feel like it
