Sabyasachi's Mangalsutra campaign is offensive?! Why I do not think so!! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I did look up what the campaign pictures were actually like, and to be honest, I'm not offended. I don't particularly find it obscene or hurting my religious sentiments. Here's what I liked about the advertisements. Number one is that it was inclusive of sizes and color. There were plus size models and also dusky skinned models, which we don't often see as part of ad campaigns. Number two is that the collection was not shown as only inclusive to women

Fair it has been taken down

So I personally got offended when I saw this ad campaign. My personal point was when I saw the pictures the very first time, I got a bit irritated because what do these brand owners think about the consumers? Okay. So why does Mangal Sutra ad need intimate photo like this to be present in their ad campaign? Right? Thinking that the consumers are that much cheap in terms of consuming their products and their advertisements. So it's like making the actual consumers be like fools, actually

If we are particularly uncomfortable about seeing a cultural element being sexualized, then we should also be upset when saris are sexualized, which happens a lot in item songs, in movies and nobody goes out there and says our culture is being spoiled because Sasari is draped like this. So how is that accepted? And this is not so if we're being fair, I think anything it is inappropriate for a formed family audience or something that goes on TV where everybody can watch it should not be allowed

Hi, sir. I agree with your point. Yes. Because of this kind of ads, they are increasing their publicity by negative kind of publicity. I think so

If you get me what I'm saying and related to the comments of Sungis, I have no comments like they need to really broaden their minds. That's all they have to say

So if that is what was behind the man who created this ad campaign, I guess this actually served the purpose. You get married and you have pictures like you said, of all colors, all sizes. So it was not at all offensive on that part. Also, whereas normally in advertisements, it's just like a skinny girl who's super fair and very beautiful. On the other part, like you said, it's a cool way in which we can rebrand our traditions

So I feel like this promotional shoot was fair and it was very wrong to have brought it down. But even if I were in their position, I would have not gone fighting with the ministers and all because they are so old fashioned. They are old school and they are so narrow minded did that right now. Changing their mind is almost impossible, and they can take steps big enough that can harm the company as well. So it's better that it's pulled down

Yes, we have already missed our ball in that quote, but that can't be the reason that we can lose this somewhere, too. So that's all my concerns. Actually, according to me, there is nothing called an intimate jewelry at all. A jewelry has no connection with intimacy at all. They have named it like that because the name is sexy. The focus is on the newer generation who have been cultivated to believe what is wrong in this right
