Hidden wisdom from movie moments..

You are still dangerous. But you know what? You can be my wingman any time. Bullshit. You can be mine. So continuing the Golden Rule is never admit that you could possibly be the second best. So there you have it. My friends. Behind every moment in a movie, there looks greater wisdom wisdom that ranges from your own potential or dreams to all sorts of advice on handling your ego or your boss

"Swell" of a comic speech I gave at toastmasters..

But these memories come from just moments spent together or moments of joy that children experience growing up. So I think the question for me as a parent, especially this is why the line resonated with me so much is I think the quest as a parent is to create the best, most wonderful set of memories for children as they are growing up. That's my two cent that I'm adding. I wanted to add to your conversation

Hey, because thank you very much for that suggestion. Yes. Interstellar is my favorite movie, as a matter of fact, and I wanted to share that it is the one movie that almost pushed just me to the brink of tears every time I watch it from the viewpoint of a parent. And thanks for sharing that wonderful quote and what it means. And it kind of encompasses the whole relationship that our protagonist, Cooper has with his daughter. And it's beautiful. Thank you

I don't have to teach you to be me, but I have to teach you to be you. I'm paraphrasing here, but this is Poe in the last part of Kung Fu Panda, part three, which I have watched with my kids more than a dozen times. And I just love this part because I think what it teaches my kids, you don't have to be the best at everything. You have to figure out what you're good at, what your strength is

You don't have to be one or the other. And that understanding and that acceptance surrounds him and there's and surrounds everybody else. And again, something that I just think has great meaning teaches a lot to everybody who sees it

I would like to share here an exchange between Frodo and Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings series. So it goes somewhat like this where Fraud Rhodeau says, I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. And Gendalf goes, so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that's being given us. So this is a no brainer

Another gem of the line that's there in the movie is spoken by Sam, Sam Weiss, Gamji, the companion of Rodeo, as they travel to Mordor to destroy the Ring. And it goes like this. There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for

I’m bad and that is good. I’ll never be good and that is not bad..

I'm bad and that is good. I'll never be good and that is not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me. This quote is from Wreck It Ralph. While on face value, this may not sound as good in the context of the movie and what wreckage route goes through. This is a very beautiful quote and it's a big AHA moment in the grand finale

Hard work is mandatory. It's luck that I need. This was a nugget of wisdom from the movie called Matchpoint by Woody Allen. I hope I'm getting the name of the movie, right? I think it as much point. And it said in the context of this guy who comes from not so fancy background call it an underprivileged background, and he makes it in high society by hooker, by crook

#ratatouille #greatartistscancomefromanywhere #swellevergreen

The movie is Ratatouille, and the portion where the critic Anton Ego writes down in his column acknowledging the chef of the restaurant and commenting that not every artist can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere, sort of alluding to the humble origin of the chef

Dead Poets Society. No, not "Carpe Diem..."

But I think as a parent, I really like the message in there. And if we can help our children find their voice as they growing up, that's the best we can do, help them discover who they are. And I think that's a beautiful kind of message from the movie. So that's the line

☁️ vanilla sky ☁️

That is a line from one of my favorite moments in the film, Vanilla Sky, directed by Cameron Crow, which is actually a remake from the Spanish film Open Your Eyes, which was directed by Alejandro Amena Bar in when I first saw this film, I was dumbfounded and I had a really big emotional reaction, which I didn't understand because Vanilla Sky is described as science fiction psychological thriller, which is really amazing and very genre bending and that in and of itself was really exciting to me when I saw it
