I don’t know why I did it

Here comes a story about the value of life. Yesterday, my dad and I were sanding planks of wood for the preschoolers in my classroom for project. And as we are sanding the wood, a bee flies in and starts swimming around, around us. And he begins telling me a story about a day or two prior to it, he was in the kitchen minding his own business, washing dishes, and a wasp came in flying

He felt sort of our ignorance around the value of life, because he's touching it in a different way. And it's just. It's profound, and it's beautiful. And I'm glad you have this memory here, and a bunch of people now can have it, too, and process it in their own way. Just beautiful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you

Yes, it is. It's so simple and so profound, the story. And it reminds me of the idea that it probably takes a whole life to live the whole life in order to feel the simplicity of that, because children very seldom feel, you know, that natural empathy. It's just another thing that gets in the way. And they do see it as a target
