Are artists different from the layman? Can everybody sketch or paint?

We could have done anything we wanted. If you actually noticed sketches done by kids, they are brilliant as an adult. We are so conditioned. Oh, my God. A human being needs to have two arms, two legs, two eyes. And we would not consider putting just a single eye over there. So my question is, why can't everybody be artists? I feel everyone can be trained. If it's just a skill that you want, it's just like driving a car

Extending invite to artists as well to contribute their views

I would also like to extend this discussion towards other artists to bring in their views on this topic as well. Thank you

Artist and the lay person

And the people who lost that art for 20 years, they look at that and they go, wow, that is absolutely wow. I am constantly in all artists because I feel like they can do something that I cannot do the drawing and the painting. And I'm horrible with colors and matching colors and all of that just that the visualization, the way I feel, the way an artist is seeing things in their mind is very different from myself. For example, I'm a total lay person

Your curves are not doubted or as it was when you were a child, when you were learning how to write. So it's just the same thing. The only thing you're not doing curves to form alphabets. You're doing curves to form shapes which in turn are part of this larger entity, which might be a human being, or maybe you're drawing a car or whatever it is

Okay, come on. I'm outnumbered by artists here. Okay? I am just me. So RT Moley. I do have to disagree with you that being a pediatric dentist scientist is some sort of an art. It's a science. It's very left brained. It's very mathematical, I guess. Black or white in nine out of ten times. You're looking at X rays and you're dealing with things. The art of it. I don't know

For me, human anatomy is something which comes easily because I admire the human body. I admire the female body to be more precise. I love the curve. So from a very young age, I have spent a lot of time just observing people, their mannerisms, little things about the features. Maybe they have a gold tooth. I don't know. Maybe they have a scar on their nose, or maybe it's just the way they're looking. Maybe

So I stopped all of that on top of it and then looked the paper away. So the effect I got was beautiful. Then I dragged some dry brush over it and then I finished work. And I really enjoyed that. So thank you for rather triggering that memory for me. I think I will dabble in that. And I hope you have a good night and sweet dreams. Take care. Thank you. Bye
