Is the offense, that consent was not given to "see" them?

Must someone have consent to truly see you or consent in order to speak of it? Really funny, you know, and that we give away so much more information than we even realize whether it's in tone of voice, the words we choose, how we string them together. Body language, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But when someone can see the patterns can recognize, observe and see what's beneath all that you're tempting to portray. Why is that offensive?

We think what we portray is all that's seen.
