Why do couples' names sound more "natural" one way over the other?

article image placeholderIn which order?
Warning. Silly question alert. Okay. I've got a weird one for you. Sometimes I ponder these strange things. Have you ever noticed that when you are talking about a couple and you're using their names, that when you put them in one order, it sounds more natural. Just sort of rolls off the tongue. And if you put it in the other order, it sounds strange

It doesn't seem to be by gender or syllables. So, what is it?

So I kind of have a feeling that it's got to do with the power equation in their relationship or who is more popular or better known among people. So maybe that has something to do with this. But yeah, this is a very tricky question and one which can have a lot of possible answers. So I'm curious to know or what others think as well

🀣 Muddier waters that somehow seem a little clearer? πŸ€£πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ @Ramya

And if I put her name always first, then it feels like somehow a disservice to my brother. And I suppose that's why I keep flip flopping them, but I don't know. Interesting. Yes. I would love to hear other thoughts as well. Thank you for your reply and for giving me more to muddy the waters with very interesting

I think you think about the couple and you picture them in your mind and then you say, whoever's face comes up first. I guess in your mind this is a really interesting situation or how you've heard it, depending on who you've heard it around and who you've heard say the couple's name together. I think a lot of that has to do with for you with the celebrities. It has to do with how the media portrays this couple versus how you relate to them

Maybe there's an order of prioritization. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ @JCB07

Well, I recently learned that when we use adjectives in a sentence written or spoken, there's a particular order of which types of adjectives fall where in the sentence. And I didn't even know this existed. Now, I don't know if that's a quote unquote supposed to thing, or if that's just how we naturally tend to do it. But there's apparently an order that makes more sense than others
