Why pit emotion & logic against each other?

article image placeholderEmotional: How Feelings Shape Our Thinking
I don't understand why humans continue to pit emotion versus logic and then to raise logic as some sort of paragon of a way of existing. And emotions are weakness or antiquated that humans need to evolve beyond them. And inevitably, this topic always ends up orienting itself around gender that men are more logical and women are more emotional. And it can't be helped because that's just the way that we are. I would argue that instead it's the way we have been conditioned

I have a hard time to this day crying in front of people to the point that when it does happen, I get p***** off and I cry even more because I'm crying. So how do we get to that space of where it's just part of the process similar to getting an oil change? Right? My indicator goes off. I know I need to go to a place where they perform oil changes. I get the oil change

It's too much data to process between what I'm trying to speak about, all of those faces, the, the room, the lighting, that everything that's going on and it was simply too much. And the way that I process that was through tears, leaky eyeballs. But, like, to think if these things were not described the way that they are, emotions how much different your life would have been and how much different my life would have been if we understood them better

The emotion and the logic come together and form a defense mechanism that we realize is fight, fight or freeze, which is a logical choice driven by an emotional response. I think that it's there and the science is there. If we choose to look at it through new glasses and if we choose to see it through this new lens that the younger generation that chooses its gender and its pronoun, I think that we'll start to see what is possible

We've just decided these frequencies right here represent this particular color. And to get hung up on Must Fitch inside these constraints, and that is whatever label one puts to put on it, it's more destructive than helpful. Completely agree with you to say that logic is masculine or things that are attributed to men and emotion to women. Very divisive, very destructive and almost infantilizing, I think, of both genders
