That’s a bit: Mrs. Maisel drops the mic

There's a lot of elements that come into crafting a good joke. I think the character Midge was an improv genius, but she never really worked at writing jokes. And that's kind of an interesting thing about the final season is a lot of it has to do with her trying to write jokes, but she's not really a joke writer as much as she is an improv. So it's kind of also interesting how you have to marry those two aspects of the discipline

After 5 seasons, Amazon’s hit show came to a close. #StandUp #comedy #ThatsABit

And if a show is airing and I've missed however many episodes, I don't like to watch it until I know that it has ended. And, yes, that might mean that I'm waiting six or seven years for that series to reach its finale, but for some reason, I have to commit to waiting for each episode to air. And if I begin a series, complete two or three seasons and then have to wait for the next episode, it just doesn't feel right to me

Hey, Matt, thanks for this post. And, Mark, that's such an interesting, quirky thing that you do that you wait for the whole season, all the seasons to be done before you start something. It's interesting. I watched season one and season two. I'm behind. And this post is making me think to gift myself to finish the series. Um, but I just think it's interesting excuse me. That you you wait till the whole series is over

You. Hi, Deborah. Yeah, it's it's odd. And my brother, he teases me about it all the time, but there are a couple of reasons, and I'll try to articulate them because it's irrational. I understand if I begin a show at the beginning when it's starting to air originally, I have that expectation that I'm going to be waiting however much time between each episode. That's what I've signed up for

And I think that's actually a really great way to watch TV. I've noticed that. That is why I feel when it comes to television today, a lot of sitcoms aren't really succeeding because the sitcom model was built to be a week to week kind of journey in which you grow with the characters. But since so much storytelling these days is serialized, it's a lot easier to just sit down and watch these shows in one sitting
