Are we done seeing NBA dynasties?

article image placeholderUploaded by @SanedracSays
I haven't been following the NBA terribly closely the last four or five years, but I have noticed in the last four or five years, specifically the last five years, that there has been a new champion every year since Toronto won it. So you had Toronto and then you followed that up with the Lakers

With the Nuggets win, we’ve had 5 champs in 5 years. Can Denver repeat? Or will it be a new team’s turn next year? #NBA #basketball #AskSwell

Now, the younger me would have been like, the h*** with it. I'm sticking with my team. Yeah, we need the dynasty, like, putting pressure on them. But I think as you get older, you get a little softer. I don't know if that's just me with sports, I'm more forgiving, and I just think that, to me, because I like the game of basketball, I want to be excited. I want to be surprised

But me, as a spurs fan, I can remember the 99 season, how different that was from the 2003 championship and how different that championship was from the 2005 and 2007. So it's kind of a unique thing. But, yeah, it's definitely great when you can get a little older and let the side of yourself that loves the sport take over as opposed to the person who loves the team. So thanks so much for your opinion on that

I think NBA dynasties are still possible, but I think they come with they will never now come with the overhyped individuals. Like, LeBron James has been hyped since high school. Right. He's a talent that's considered bigger than the team he's on, as talented as somebody Steph Curry is. Well, a lot of people don't think Draymond. Green is talented. Or Clay Thompson. They were fairly underrated for how they performed. Right
