Mankading, the only dismissal to be named after a player (The great Indian All rounder Vinoo Mankad)

article image placeholderAshwin mankading Buttler in the 2019 IPL game.
The bowler may then dislodge the bells at his end without completing the runup and dismiss the batsman. This form of runout is called the Man kidding in reference to Vinnie Mankind, the first polar to dismiss a batsman in this manner in a test match running out Bill Brown of Australia way back in 1047. This unconventional run out led to an uproar within the Australian media who criticized Mankat for going against the spirit of the game. It was actually them who coined the term Mankind

Tune in to know what is Mankading and how it came into existence, a glimpse of the Great Mankad's career, Ashwin's modern day shenanigans and more.

So instead of keeping this rule like Mankading is possible, what if they rule out mankind and say that once the ball is delivered, the nonsticker can cross only a certain part of the pitch, maybe a few steps outside the crease by doing so. And if they cross more than that, maybe they get a penalty of five runs or their run is canceled or something like that that will help maintain some level of decency in the game. As you know, the controversy it creates nowadays

Yeah. Thanks, man. I also feel that mankeding is like a lot of Indians have a problem with mankinding because they are like the game is attaching the name of Vinyl Mankind, who was like one of the most prominent players in his time with the name of such a shameful sort of dismission because I read somewhere that even Gavaskar or some of the Indian Legends live. They had expressed their views that mankind according to the Mankind, they should change the name
