Belinda Clark : The first cricketer to score a double century in ODIs
Belinda Clark was the Australian captain heading into the 1997 ICC Women's World Cup held in India. She had never played in India before this tournament and took very little time to get acclimatized in a group stage match against Denmark, a much inferior opponent, Clarke went on to post the highest individual score in an ODI in her jaw dropping knock off an unbeaten 229 of just 155 deliveries, a world record which stood for 17 years before Ruhit Sharma played that unforgettable innings of 264 against Sri Lanka
