I think it's very fascinating the number of homeless students, especially living here in Humboldt County. I had had the opportunity to talk to a few of them and just ask ask basic questions on how they really feel about being a student and also just not having a place to live because it's very expensive. Nowadays, higher education has become really hard for individuals to cover up
It's a decision because Cal Poly Humble does very little to strive to create equity amongst its students. Like, for example, I just got an email about this study abroad to Costa Rica and it's $2,000 and there's no option for a scholarship whatsoever that I read in the email. And it's like things like that. Like Cal Poly Humble and the administration. I love a lot of things about our school, but it's mostly the students and faculty
