I really, really love this film. I may be slightly biased of course I have watched The Shining for too many times to count and would include it in my top five favorite films of all time. I practically have managed to memorize the whole film
I really liked Doctor Sleep as well. I was actually pretty surprised by how much I enjoyed myself when I first saw it. It definitely had, you know, all those little things, the nods to The Shining that you would want to see in sequel. But I really liked that it was kind of distinctly different from The Shining. It was less of a horror film and more of just like a fantastical
