And I hope that this poem reaches somebody out there who can find some value in the small steps they've taken towards a better life, towards recovering from something horrible, towards happiness that's well

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience that you've had with COVID. That is just I'm very sorry to hear that. But I really enjoyed that poem and thank you for sharing

It's kind of like this Beatnik type poetry, like the slam poets and the rhyming scheme of your poem kind of has that feel of the way slam poets do their poetry. And I just love to hear slam poets and they get into that kind of rhythm and it's really cool. I really like it a lot. But good for you on starting to be able to get back to where you used to be and getting into, you know, healthy weight area. Thanks for sharing

Wow, what an amazing poem. Thank you so much for sharing. I just love the arts, for healing, and I just really appreciate that you shared this on here or your journey. And then being able to express that through poetry is really powerful and vulnerable. I hear you, and thank you so much for sharing. I'm taking a career of arts therapies class, and poetry was one of the topics that we explored, and I love poetry

I really like the beatnik slam poet sort of comparison, because as I was reading that, I'm like, do I sound like Dr. Seuss? I think I sound like Dr. Seuss. It was literally the first time that I'd read it out loud, and it was my first take, and I didn't really want to mess with it too much. So thank you so much for the support, and thanks for the feedback. I appreciate that

And I got to the point where I was living in my mom's basement. I'd been independent since I was 17 years old. And then at 36, 37, I was living with my mom and could really barely move from the bed to the bathroom. And that was kind of my ability for the day, and that was even a challenge. So I started off with bought some paint and some pastels and some few canvases and some sketch pads and just started playing with colors
