Luxury Cars! Is there a perfect car out there?

And just like the post Taikan, I start wondering when you spend so much money on a car more than $100,000, it's all electric. What happens is you don't have the luxury to especially in the Midwest. I should not say, like I'm sure in the west or the East Coast, they have a lot more charging stations

It's subjective on how you define luxury as in one hand, you define luxury as opulence and extravagance of great comfort that may not be required. And from that standpoint, if you want to move to the ultimate, I would say it might be something like a RollsRoyce or Maybach I don't know, I haven't been in many of them or any of them in some cases. And we are talking over here about things like the materials used inside, like gold plated handles and everything

Range anxiety with Tesla and electrics... NOT!!

Whereas with my Tesla, I just drive it home and it's a very minor adjustment with your habits. As I walk out of my car as I go out, I just take my charging cable and plug it in and then just leave. When I'm getting in the car, I just removed my charging cable, put it back in and then leave. The car is always topped off. I don't think I'll have enough time to cover the luxury aspects of what makes a Tesla awesome

OTA and silent instant torque..

So that capability to update the car completely over software because the car is essentially designed as a bare bones hardware platform and everything else is controlled by software, we are able to update the car just like your phone and completely change its feature set and improve it from time to time. And mind you, this is very unique to Tesla. It is not an easy problem to solve

Non car enthusiast, car talk...

Okay, I'm going to get in on this conversation. As a noncar enthusiast. For me, a car gets me from point A to point B. But on that same note, out, I am a car enthusiast when it comes to certain luxuries. Okay, from my point of view, from a non car point of view, my luxuries include seating. I'll be honest, I have sat in different cars

Pre 2007, when you had these feature phones, maybe even the Razor, Motorola Laser and all the other phones leading up to an iphone and then taking an iphone for the first time and trying it out, do you remember that feeling that is the exact feeling you have when you take a Tesla in comparison to other cars? I hope that explains it

Tesla Mercedes BMW and Porsche touched on

It feels like you're driving a small Honda Civic, and you make any Uturn. That's a big difference. Otherwise, the BMW Seven Cities is an amazing automobile. I mean, I just absolutely love it, has the luxury, has the power, has driving feel to it. And everything like that. The other downside of the BMW is after about a year or two, things start squeaking and it doesn't age very well with regard to the noise level

Fair conversation if @riaz test drives a Tesla

You got to put all your other cars. The Mercedes, the BMWs, the Audi's, the Lexus. Everything else, the non electric ones. You got to put them in one bucket. They may be your apples. And then your Tesla would be your Orange. It is a paradigm shift. I'm telling you, I'd love to hear your continuation of the swell after you've driven the Tesla. That's my only contention on that

I don't know what the thing is with Mercedes. I've heard a lot of horrible stories. So my next car, I will never again drive a Mercedes. My next car. I think I'm going to go with a BMW. So I just like to see what you guys think. But to my Mercedes, rest in peace. It was fun while it lasted

Hey, Mark, this is a very fair argument from your end. And it is basically completely from your experience. Number one, Mercedes, I personally have felt had its electrical flaws. Sure, but nothing as significant as what you're talking about with regard to Mercedes versus BMW. One of the key things you got to know about these two lines is number one, the Mercedes was known for the SClass, so that's his main model line. Similarly, BMW was known for his three series

It costs a lot less to maintain compared to the other cars. And the reason for this is an electric car just has a motor which has a very few number of moving parts. It's on the order of maybe, I don't know, ten to 15 moving parts, I guess. Compare that to hundreds of moving parts in the internal combustion engine. So that's a surface area for things to go wrong

Model Three. So yes, although I've not test driven it and things like that, I think it's an amazing bargain. So yes, I agree with you, Shammi. Model Three should be a good BMW is probably not as good long term to the best of my knowledge, but still, it's a wonderful automobile to drive. It's the best driving experience. According to me

But then again, it's your personal preference. Regardless, I really think you should go for a test pin in the three. If that's what's holding you back, just go for a test pin. See how you like the single screen, play around with it. And yeah, that's

If I could own any car, it would be a 1959 to 1961 Corvette Convertible stick shift color black with a red leather interior
