In fact, I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the book. And I thought it just fit perfectly. I really honestly think it's a perfect movie. The setting, the art design, the chocolate shop. Oh, it's just so good. And I always really like the original. The Gene Wilder and even Johnny Depp's version was really fun. But I felt like this one just had such a great story and great heart to it. It was just really fun

And I totally get that. When I first heard of a Willy Wonka prequel I was kind of like, but the original story is already so perfect. Does it really need to be a prequel movie? Because let's face it, most prequel movies to like, older films that are really popular, they're just never that great. I mean, most of the time I actually think the Star wars prequels are fantastic

But yeah, maybe I'll give this one a shot and I'll try to go see it sometime soon. Yeah, there are some movies with prequels that have just really been amazing. One of my favorite films of all time is alien. I liked aliens. I didn't like the third one as much, but then when the prequel started coming out, completely mind blowing. So yeah, the Ridley Scott Alien franchise did great. Prometheus, Alien Resurrection, those were amazing. Yeah

But also I think Hugh Grant was like great at like, you'll see that he's a different type of oompa Loompa, not quite so jolly. He's kind of a pessimistic oompa Loompa. And I think that really worked. I thought it was a fun twist, but the whole movie is over the top. But I never once felt like this is a story that didn't need to be told

Alright, so it's Friday and I just checked which cinemas are playing Wonka so that I can go see it this weekend. And then I discovered that it's actually streaming on a service that I actually subscribe to. Fantastic. So tonight I'm going to snuggle up after I do some of my music work. I'd like to practice music Fridays. Sometimes I even go to an open mic night and perform
I love them, and I think I'm taking like, crazy pills whenever I talk to people and they're like, oh, Prometheus hated it. I don't know what world we're living on where Prometheus is a bad movie. Is it the first alien? No, it's not. But it is a great movie. And I don't know, Ridley Scott has a nice touch. He's still got it, in my opinion

There's a lot of gross, disgusting stuff that happens in great Sci-Fi films. The drool, the alien drool that happens when the aliens are attacking. People could be disgusted by that. So, yeah, to each his own. To each her own. I like the film. You like the film? Yeah. I think Prometheus is, it's a great story. It's a great story of the foundation of humans, and I like that aspect of it

All right. This movie, Wonka, was fantastic. I really liked it. I didn't think there was too much use of cg. Probably just enough, a little bit more than I expected, because there was a lot of imagination. But it was a great story. I really liked the movie. I won't try to say too much, but yeah. Thank you all for recommending the film. I have to admit I got a little teary eyed during the movie, too. So fantastic
